Hi Anfernee- - I wonder if you could do a post or course even, on Piracy and Theft and how to counter this - ???

Thanks for the suggestion, will do a post for this.

However, we have to manage our expectations that the digital products economy as of now, has this problem and will remain this way for awhile.

We can only mitigate, but cannot eliminate.

Useful post.

I have been hearing a lot of criticism about low ticket digital products lately and in particular the fact they are a waste of time if you have a small audience.

You will need thousands of buyers to make meaningful money out of $10 sales.

What’s your view on this?

What would be higher ticket digital products you recommend?

Digital products comprises of low and mid price products as well.

I have 4 levels of digital products:

- Free

- Low (less than $30)

- Mid (Less than $50)

- Mid-High (Less than $100)

And I build them into my value ladder so I can level up my offers according to my customers' needs.

I think this concept will continue to grow. A lot of 'gurus' out there leveraging on this concept, but their content are too basic.

What needs to change about the way we do online courses?

Expand full comment

If you are a seller, I would say online course is still a good product to sell.

If you are an educator, I would say online courses are overhyped and needs to change because it simply doesn’t create enough transformation for any target audience. This is because the average completion rate of any online learning is barely 10%.

I believe the delivery methodology needs an overhaul. Instead of online learning, we should look into task oriented approaches.

Very interesting. I failed miserably in the traditional education system, so it has been quite a sight to see online education explode even more since 2020.

I haven't heard an educator's perspective, so I appreciate the fresh perspective!

This is because almost everyone you see online is a seller.

True educators suck at selling. And master sellers mostly are not very good educators.
