Figuring out Gumroad's email feature has been on my list so thank you!

This was such a refreshing breakdown of “good enough” automation for solo creators.

Love how you were being honest about the tradeoffs and clearly drew the line between when Gumroad is enough and when to graduate to a full ESP.

Thanks for your kind words.

Yes I feel that it is important for everyone to understand the trade-offs, to be able to make good decisions as to which method to deploy.

I love Gumroad, and when I left Kit for Substack, I moved most of my automated sequences to their email workflows, the only thing I wish I could change is to pay to remove the branding.

Yeah you’re right. Ha.

Something we have to live with.

I miss the personalisation more.

This is so underrated...

If you have a product, you should use it.

Thanks for the detailed guide, man!

Workflows is something I've negelected within Gumroad. Not only have you provided an important reminder but you've added value with the meta-prompt and pre-written samples. Thank you!

Here’s my question. I’m thinking my first email will be the lead magnet to download a checklist they haven’t bought anything from me on Gumroad or left anything a quarter any of the examples above. I have over 1100 email addresses that I want to send this link magnet out for them to download which would start the second email sequence and then the third email of the sequence for the product. How would I work doing that with the emails that I have on another platform?
